In the bathroom, a woman and her two adult daughters lean over the body of their husband and father. A moment of confrontation and a starting point for an actual reconstruction and documentary debate about intimate partner violence: through a fictional narrative, through factual data and dialogue fragments, an intimate history of the family unfolds in front of us, exposing all the ruthlessness of the social and legal system that enables this violence.

Worldwide, 33% of women over the age of 15 have experienced physical and/or sexual violence, and 22% of women have been subjected to physical and/or sexual violence from their partner. In 90.8% of cases, the perpetrators of violence are men. Every seven minutes, a woman is murdered in the world – as a victim of intimate partner violence.

The project was developed in cooperation with experts in the field of domestic violence, police, judiciary, prosecution, psychiatry, the Centre for Social Work, the SOS Telephone Association and the Safe House women’s shelter.
